About this article

It is the dream of every student to be studying in the United Kingdom. To study in the biggest and best university in the world and UK holds most of them. Studying in Oxford, Cambridge or the Royal College of London is like a dream come true. The UK is the biggest financial centre of the world and London is the financial capital of the world, it is an attraction for students who wish to pursue their higher education.

Going back to the ‘New Normal’ has been difficult for many students, online lectures have their own set of challenges that students are facing, but given that vaccinations are at their peak and booster shots in the UK are available for students as well, we have reached from ‘New Normal’ to a ‘Safer Normal’ where students can apply to Universities in the UK and attend offline lectures while maintaining safety protocols. The UK has also simplified the travel restrictions for international students, fully vaccinated from Low-risk countries.

UK universities have a variety of ‘Pros’ to offer students choosing to pursue further studies, the best set of faculty teachers, one of the best learning experiences and state-of-the-art facilities which can make the UK a very promising choice for the young generations today.

One of the biggest advantages of studying in the UK is the post-study work visa which allows international students to pursue postgraduate or undergraduate studies from UK universities. This gives students enough time to gain experience in the choice of their field and also figure out the future options that are available to them.

There are more than 400 universities & colleges in the UK offering a variety of courses to approx. 300,000 students each year. The UK Government and Universities are also known to provide students with a number of scholarship and financial aid options to cover their expenses. Many universities have part-time courses where they allow students to work while they study. This makes it easier for students to cover their monthly personal expenses as well.

The UK has a market for a variety of fields that students can choose from. From rich art and culture to STEM courses to specialized business and design courses, there are a plethora of options available. For pharmacy, the University College of London is the best option one can opt for, for other science courses, Imperial College London is ranked the best. For music and a creative field, one can opt for BIMM, which is said to be the best for music and creative education. Want to study Business? London School of Business is the roadmap to your dream. It tops no. 1 in the UK and second overall in Europe. You have various options to opt for, like the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and many more. All the above provide full time, innovative, practical based learning programs that prepare the students to become young leaders in the field of their choice.

The eligibility criteria differ from university to university but the most common which is an absolute requirement is the English Language Testing. Top UK Universities require the international student to give an English Proficiency test, on hitting above the minimum mark, the student is eligible to apply for courses to their desired universities. IELTS is the English Proof test, wherein the student is required to score a minimum of 6.5 out of 9 (might differ from others universities). There is another English Proof test like the Duolingo English test, IELTS indicator, etc that are also accepted apart from IELTS.

The other major reason to study in the UK is that they offer ‘Fast – Track’ Masters to their students. This helps students, to complete their Master Degree within 16 months, hence shorter period courses with higher efficiency. This not only helps students in cutting down overall tuition expense but also ensures they receive quality education at an affordable cost. Which is awesome cause students would definitely choose to pay 20k GBP for a master course and complete it in 16 months than pay $50k for courses that would stretch for over 2 years or even more!

To study and live in a city like London or Liverpool is like a dream come true. A better standard of living and a much higher quality of life is witnessed in developed cities like London. London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham etc are the most popular cities which hold the oldest colleges that go all the way back to the 13th century, where students dream of studying and building a promising future.

Apart from having an excellent academic reputation, the UK also has a lot of comfort in terms of social security to offer to students who then become residents in the UK such as health benefits, child benefits, pension schemes, low cost to free medical assistance to its residents.

The procedure to apply to UK universities for further studies can seem to be tedious to be handled by students themselves. Hence, it is always the best option to book a career consultation with agents or career counsellors. They provide the best counselling in understanding all the options that are available to the students. They guide students through all the steps correctly, helping them choose the right universities to apply to, from low cost to high tuition cost universities and help them search for the best course that not only fits them well but is also pocket friendly.

Selecting the right service for the guidance needed is extremely important. Hence, it is advisable to give a free consultation with an education expert a chance, read the reviews given to them by students they have guided in the past and then make the appropriate decision. The education expert can help in guiding the student from the first step of the selection process to the application process and after the admission is secured, to help the student understand all the funding options that are available and if the student is lucky enough, maybe even help you secure a scholarship on merit!

The UK is a land full of opportunities, surely a sight for sore eyes!
